Open Ezuq90 opened this issue 1 year ago • 8 comments

Description

After the administrator bug fix patch, I got the VAC ban bug now! I have no 3rd party software, the ban doesn't show up in my account, tried most of the suggested solution and nothing works. Fix it

VAC1 VAC2

Example Match ID (and possibly Timestamp)

Old bug. If this happens all the time, then just try to verify integrity of game files in steam and restart your pc.

if ya can't do the time, don't do the crime, buddy

I didn't do the crime that is the problem. I don't have a vac ban but when I open the game and try to matchmake the game tells me I'm vac banned

I have the same problem only on my pc tho. Tried verifying and reinstalling but to no avail. I can't reformat my disk anytime soon due to important files. I tried logging in in a friend's pc and I could queue and play so the problem should be in my pc. The only thing I installed before this happened is CCleaner and have downloaded some files but those were mostly pdf files for school and work. What to do??

Try to delete two bin folders from game folder (1 path ~/Steam/steamapps/common/dota 2 beta/game/dota/bin ; 2 path ~/Steam/steamapps/common/dota 2 beta/game/bin) and verify game files after.

You can try a few more things: Steam -> Settings -> Downloads -> Clear Cache. Steam -> Settings -> Storage -> ... -> Repair Folder

Also you can try to install dota on another drive (if available).

If nothing works then try to delete steam (also delete its folder with leftovers) and same with dota if it installed on separate drive (delete whole game folder) and reinstall it (probably should be fine with deleting just game folder).
