Versus screen does not show player cosmetics properly

Please describe your issue in as much detail as possible:
The versus screen (after pick and right before the match) is supposed to show off the heroes with the cosmetics that are currently equipped by the players, but it fails to do so most of the time.
My own hero is always shown with the correct loadout but the other 9 heroes are usually shown with the default models and outfits, regardless of player configuration. Sometimes one or two other heroes also have their cosmetics but I personally couldn't figure out a consistent pattern of any kind.
The cosmetics appear to be displayed correctly in the actual game itself, only the versus screen has this problem.
If the featured player has a custom versus screen (running from Roshan, etc.), that seems to work but the heroes are still in their default outfits.
Steps for reproducing this issue:
- Start a public game. I play Turbo games in case that is somehow related.
