Is there a way to show preference to usb controller if it's plugged in?

I'm seriously impressed with this software but is there a way to automatically prefer a usb gamepad if one is plugged in?

Not currently, it's definitely om the wanted feature list for easier couch gaming.

Should be fairly easy to implement but not sure how to manage it from a UI perspective. Happy to get your thoughts !
