The reason we have is that signatures are made at a different time than the repodata is updated.
Signing repodata would be good.
I imagine the reproduction is of a conf_file for a package not currently installed...

We don't build new LXDE desktops, only XFCE and non-Xorg images (for the official images at least)
why would you want this?
If you wanted to make a second class mirror without the debug packages, for example, the size would be smaller.
