Editor beomes unresponsive; OUTPUT spews info messages

Not sure of steps to reproduce but what I am seeing is that the editor window becomes completely unresponsive to any keyboard input.

While this is happening the OUTPUT tab is spewing:

FWIW I'm on MacOS with an M1 chip on Sonoma 14.4.

@brianjmurrell @third774 Try to add this VS Code setting: "extensions.experimental.affinity": { "vscodevim.vim": 1 }. It will make sure that Vim extension is executed in a different host process which might help solve your problem.
