Macro Oscillator 2/Pair of Classic Waveforms - No Aux output until Harmonics control moved

Open mblofeld opened this issue 4 years ago • 1 comments

To reproduce: Load Macro 2 Oscillator with VU meter (like AS MonoVUmeter). connect Aux output of Macro 2 to input of the Vumeter. You will see no signal. Then move the Harmonics control and you will immediately see output on the Vumeter.

I think it is suppose the be that way. The Manual stats:

Pair of classic waveforms AUX: sum of two hardsync’ed waveforms, the shape of which is controlled by MORPH and detuning by HARMONICS.

As long as the two oscillators are in tune (detune=0 <=> harmonics=50%) they stay in phase and the waves perfectly cancel each other (oscillators are initialized in phase). With the slightest detune one can observe beating of the two oscillators and for a breath moment perfect cancellation occurs again and again. However I can now verify this in hardware, since I do not have a Plaits at hand.
