Relative paths in zreproj file

Open lvv83 opened this issue 10 years ago • 5 comments

Current version of ZRE saves absolute paths to the project file. It is not very convenient when I want send project to anothers.

Good use case in my opinion is next:

  1. User creates project file in some base folder. 2, All filegroups recursively included to the project with paths relative to base folder.
  2. Work under translations.
  3. Put project file under source control.

Thanks for great tool!

At the moment it's not possible to include the project file in e.g. a github repository. That's really bad because of the absolute paths.

I'm currently on vacation but IIRC, I do store both, absolute and relative paths.

You should really throw out all those absolute paths. Indeed there are filePath= properties as well as absoluteFilePath= - i don't know why you save both...

There is the <userSetting> section which should be removed from the project file as well as inside the <fileGroups> section the absoluteFilePath= property. Both, the section as well as the property, aren't needed to open the project file without any problems - so they should be removable.

Any plan to implement this change?
