[Bug]: A USSD Dialogue Appears For Each Transaction Instead of the Process Starting and Finishing on Stax
Description
All transactions: checking airtime balance, checking bank balance, checking MPesa balance, sending money from either bank or Mpesa fail every time and I end up getting a normal USSD dialogue and a failed status.
I recently upgraded my Oppo A53 from android 11 to android 12 not sure if that might be the cause. I have been having a few issues with some other apps as well.
Airtime balance - I checked both Safaricom and Telkom. The process took longer like 2- 3 minutes . A USSD dialogue appeared instead and it was like I had just dialed *100#. Stax indicated a failed status in both cases.
Bank and Mpesa Balance - Took like a minute to get a response. A USSD dialogue appeared and a failed status.
Send Money (Mpesa to bank)- Took like 2 minutes to get a response. USSD dialogue appeared and a failed status.
Send Money(Bank to Mpesa)-Took like 2 minutes to get a response. A USSD dialogue appeared instead and a failed status.
Steps to reproduce
Airtime Balance
- Open the Stax app
- On the bottom navigation menu tap on sims, this opens a screen with your sim cards listed
- Click the check balance button for the sim you want to check
Bank Balance
- Open the Stax app
- On the home page there is a section containing your linked accounts. Click on the refresh button for the bank account you wish to check.
- Select the sim linked to the bank account to run the process
- Enter and confirm the mobile banking pin to start the process
M-Pesa Balance
- Open the Stax app
- On the home page there is a section containing your linked accounts. Click on the refresh button for the Mpesa account you wish to check.
- Enter and confirm your M-Pesa pin to start the process
Send Money -Bank to Mpesa
- Open the Stax app
- On the home page click on the send money button, and a screen appears with fields to fill
- Select or add the bank account(Equity) you wish to transact from
- Select the recipient network, in this case, MPesa
- Enter the amount and recipient name and click the continue button
- Select the sim linked to the bank account to run the process
- Enter and confirm the mobile banking pin to start the process
Send Money- Mpesa to Bank
- Open the Stax app
- On the home page click on the send money button, and a screen appears with fields to fill
- Select or add the m-pesa account you wish to transact from
- Select the recipient network, in this case, Bank account(Equity), and enter their account number
- Enter the amount and click the continue button
- Enter and confirm the M-pesa pin to start the process
Expected result
That the processes carry on within the Stax app to completion instead of prompting external USSD dialogue.
