When turning off CPE /clients does not get disabled

/clients is still usable but it becomes useless when CPE is disabled. And the command does not get disabled once CPE is off

Bug now partially invalid; /clients shows old protocol version.

Note also that custom blocks would appear useless to classic at first glance, however, even something as simple as Brown falls back to a dirt block that doesn't change to grass.
