Request: Wii U gamepad support for Wii version
Hello, devs of Classicube! (if you are reading this) It appears that the Wii U port of Classsicube is completely broken on real hardware and doesn't get past the launcher. I think it would be great to add gamepad support for the Wii version so it would be possible to make a Virtual Console injection and launch it on the Wii U and use the gamepad for controls (as the current Wii version requires a Wiimote or a Wii controller), as I think it's easier than fixing the entire port. I'm pretty sure I saw a C library to support this feature, but I can't find it now though...
Do you know which apps support this sort of functionality?
Fixing the Wii U port probably just requires finding the 1 or 2 difficult to find simple oversights as:
- It works fine in emulators
- The launcher is rendered as a 3D scene (unlike all other ports which draw it directly to the screen), so the 3D graphics code already at least mostly works
To my knowledge, Nintendon't (Gamecube game launcher for Wii & vWii) has this functionality. I'm not aware of other homebrew programs which also have support for gamepad.
