SoftAlphaMask behaves diffrently in build than in editor.

Issue created by Isaac Gierard as Bitbucket Issue #​88 on 2016.07.08 02:19. I noticed some issues with my SoftAlphaMask when I was running this the using fantastic graphics settings in an actual build (vs the editor).

The mask wasn't showing in the right area of the objects and some of the areas weren't being masked at all.

It most likely has something to do with one of the following

  • Pixel Light Count
  • Anisotropic Textures
  • LOD bias

Anitalising and Texture quality don't seem to be effecting anything.

Unfortunately I can't provide a sample scene or screenshots (NDA client work) and I don't have time to build a example case right now but I thought some one should know.
