Ranked statistics is slow

Ranked statistics, more specificly the ports-related views of it, are famous for being slow. Users have said that they would be happy even if the data was not live, which introduces the possibility of creating reports periodically.

Requestor is UiT who can be contacted for details.

Points to consider:

  • Have option for loading live or from cache
  • Have option for creating reports periodically in config-file (default off)

Potential more ideas:

  • Initiate periodic report runs from UI instead of config file.
  • Select a subset of devices per report?
