Suface Data Collections Not Returning Data

When using siphon or the web interface to try to obtain surface data from the case study (http://thredds-test.unidata.ucar.edu/thredds/catalog/irma/metar/catalog.html) the lat/lon box query just never returns. A point query with siphon is also failing.
