NetCDF: Unknown file format

I am trying to read a netcdf file produced as output by WRF application in 2019 and I am using netcdf 4.1.3 version to read it but it is showing NetCDF: Unknown file format.

I am curious. Why are you using such an old version as 4.1.3?

I was just following instruction manual fro WRF installation and it is mentioned in there. I didn't wanted to mess up anything

Try installing the latest netcdf-c version 4.9.0 and see if the problem goes away.
