NAM surface temperature readout is not in sync with other sources

On Mac AWIPS 16.2.2, it looks like the NAM surface temperature readout is out of sync with other model sources on the Web. This is happening with both the NAM40 and the NAM12. Basically, with at least the last two runs of the NAM, surface temperatures are being extremely exaggerated. This does not seem to be happening with other models -- spot-checking the 22/18z GFS and the 23/00z RAP13 against these sources is checking out correctly.

On AWIPS (connected to the Unidata cloud server, but note that this is happening on third-party EDEX services as well):

Note that the sample shows many instances of surface temperatures in the upper 80s and low 90s Fahrenheit.

Web sources tell a vastly different story. From weather.cod.edu:

It seems like a special style rule is needed for the NAM gridded data for the temperature conversion.
