Reproducing steps
- Open a file
- Change something
- Save
- Re-Open
- Notice unchanged settings
Setup Details
Version: Bleeding Edge OS: Windows 10 Game: [UNRELEASED]
Click the empty space around the text box for a string after editing its contents - the "you edited a string" popup box should appear, and after you select to either replace all occurrences or replace this instance only, the string change should be saved
Still not working for me
Another video would be very helpful in this regard.
Its exactly the same as the old one Do some edits, save, and dosent work
If it's exactly the same, the problem is still that you aren't clicking outside the editable line and confirming the string edit.
And if it isn't exactly the same that way, well, a video would be helpful.
Oh. Yes it is. Tysm
The value seemed to change when reopening the file. But the game still dosent run with the modifications.
Are you sure it isn't a duplicate string to the one actually used, and that you're running the game with your modified data.win?
Deltarune Chapter 1, for example, has all its dialogue strings stored externally in lang_en.json. But there are duplicates of those strings in data.win that often trip people up. Obviously, that isn't your game, but it could be a similar situation.
