Octoprint boots to Octoprint UI instead of Octodash & Octodash setup cannot find Octoprint during setup

What doesn't work? I have a fresh installation of Octodash, installed after removing TouchUI. During the first post install reboot, my pi booted to Octoprints UI instead of Octodash. I ssh'd in and ran export DISPLAY=:0, ratpoison was already running, followed by Octodash.

This brought me to the getting started screen. At this point, searching for my Octopring on localhost:5000 returned no instances found. I attempted a discovery on port 80 and that failed as well (by fail I mean it hangs at searching... until I hit the back button).

I tried a restart and the same cycle as depicted above ensued.

What did you already try? I tried manually starting Octodash, this gets me to the first time screen. I tried discovering my Octoprint using local host, 127.0.0.1, and my DHCP assigned IP address on ports 80 and 5000, no luck. CORS is enabled.
