Reproduction steps

1)Opened a file in Cura

Actual results

Random changes to print profile -Once was print speeds and movements less than half -Once was print temps set only for first layer, turned off both bed and extruder for the rest

Expected results

Keep previous settings from last instance, or keep correct settings for the selected profile

Thanks for the report. Please use the "Help | Export file for technical support" command and zip and post the 3mf file. We can't help unless we can see what is going on. This is the first report of this behavior.

Did you open an STL file or a 3MF file?

Cura can export Project files to 3MF. These contain additional data beyond just the model/s, such as printer settings. The very first time you attempt to load such a file it will offer a prompt asking whether you want to import this additional data or just the models. This prompt also includes a feature to avoid asking you in future, taking whatever answer you give to be the one you want to keep using from that point forward. If you tell it to import the settings each time, it could easily apply such an override without asking or even notifying you.

You can check the state of this import setting in the Preferences, down near the bottom in the Profiles section. The drop-down box has three values - one to ask every time, and one to set which of the two options you want to use.
