Describe your problem and add the package for technical support as a .zip here ⬇️
Cura 5.10.1 continuously crashes each time I try to slice something. As soon as I select an item to slice in Cura, it begins to load, and then after about 30 seconds, the program crashes and closes itself. On occasion, it will work, but 7 times out of 10, the program will crash, and I have to restart the Cura 5.10.1 program again for it to work. Attached is one of the files I have tried to slice, but Cura continuously crashes and shuts down. Thank you for any assistance you can provide me.
Thanks for the report. The model file doesn't help because I don't have your problem. Use the "Help | Export file for technical support" command and zip the resulting 3mf file and post that zip folder here. That will include your Cura.log file which might have a clue in it.
There are a couple of things to check.
- Make sure your video drivers are up to date. Cura has to talk to the OpenGL driver.
- Without loading a model, go to the Cura MarketPlace and click on the "Gear" icon. Scroll down and disable "USB Printing". Sometimes it can cause delays when loading a model and the resulting confusion in the software can cause Cura to close. That's a known bug.
