Access to styles

If I'm not wrong, a PDF has named styles. Is it possible to access them with the API ?

I had a quick browse through the spec and I'm not seeing anything related to named styles. Do you have more information on the context or a reference from the spec https://www.adobe.com/content/dam/acom/en/devnet/pdf/pdfs/PDF32000_2008.pdf please?
