If a quick build requires a consumable item, like bricks for the wall in Avant Gardens or platforms in Crux Prime, Spare Robot Parts for the mech behind Wisp Lee, or Mermaid Heads for the Gnarled Forest Mermaid build, the item is not consumed during or after the build.
