Install directions for osx virtualbox unclear. bridged network not addressable from device.
installed unms on osx via virtaulbox with a 16.04 ubuntu.
Had to change the virtualbox network settings to bridged, then I was able to access the UNMS web server.
Added wss://192.168.2.224:443 to each nanostation. (main tab says: "UNMS: [?]Enabled but unreachable")
on nanostation's 'tools' tab I use the ping tool and ip (above) which results in 'destination unreachable'. nanostation m2 ip is 192.168.3.1.
Same for the 'discover devices' tool in UNMS, which also can not see the nanostations.
Directions are unclear, what settings do I need to change for virtualbox network adapter to make devices network addressable.
@niski84 Hello. The basic functionality of the discovery is described in this article. Basically, you need to make sure that the device can be reached by UDP packet sent from UNMS.
I have a VirtualBox with Ubuntu 17.10 Server with UNMS 0.12.0. The settings for the Network adapter are "bridged". That's about it I had to do to make it work 'out of the box'. Mind you, I have a very simple LAN setup (only local, nothing else).
You need to configure the equivalentof Hyper-V's "MAC address spoofing" in VirtualBox,
Maybe promiscuous mode or something in the virtual box NIC settings.
