Door Announcement Not working
I can't seem to get the open door announcement to work on my Alexa devices.
I'm using Ring contact sensors -- does that matter? I have them integrated by using MQTT
do the ring sensors show up as binary_sensors ?

do you have the alexa talking clock working on your HA ? Just want to confirm that Alexa Media Player is installed correctly. Also, if you want to do a remote debug session, please let me know.
Can you send me your config entry in configuration.yaml and also the logs from AppDaemon
door announce does not work with Google Home devices. Is it possible to enable the Google Home devices for all(alexa talking clock, thermostat etc). Also on the thermostat, if I change the temperature to higher on a Honeywell WiFi thermostat, it does not seem to pickup. Is it due to delay in HA seeing it or is there a direct integration to Honeywell?
Okay, I'll go and buy A google Home device today and work on it. Also, the honeywell HA should pick up the temp change. Can we do a google remote desktop whenever you are free over the weekend please ?
Sure, we can. all of you apps work great on Echo Dot. need to figure out why I get announcements twice of open and close. Maybe it is set to repeat after x number of minutes.
