[synapse] evaluating matrix/synapse app because of ressource problems

we sometimes encounter problems with matrix/synapse chat installations because they block too much resources on the host, this might be because of too much users, config problems or an inherent requirement of this app. We are currently evaluating the situation and might need to remove the guide for this app if it becomes clear that this app is too heavy for an uberspace

Might Dendrite be a solution to this problem? It is the “second-generation Matrix homeserver written in Go. It intends to provide an efficient, reliable and scalable alternative to Synapse”.

If it really uses less resources—which I haven’t tested—, it will be an alternative to Synapse.

Would be nice if uberspace could run a central instance of matrix per host, as you do for Email :) In that case resource consumption could be taken better care of. Moreover, we could have a matrix support chat for the community, as a matrix account gets more accessible.
