Note: tests pass, vignettes fail to build. Piping was not updated outside of .r files in R dir (i.e., not updated in vignettes), suggesting the failure is due to an update to the package code, either (1) used to build this one, (2) potentially not covered by tests (22%), or (3) not related to changes on this branch?
See issue 642 for files (n=8) that need to be revisited to resolve more involved piping (e.g., placeholders)
@mhweber would you recommend we merge this in now and continue to work on the more involved piping in a separate branch/PR? Or continue to add updates to this PR?
See: https://github.com/USEPA/EPATADA/issues/642 (e.g., placeholders)

@cristinamullin @jbousquin I think continuing to add remaining updates to this PR to finalize conversion of piping would be the way to go - I can try to take a look at remaining ones @jbousquin has pointed out today and tomorrow
