Can't load custom codec. Using default codec
After upgtading to 1.89.2, it successfully recognized the 1.87.0 codec, but it said "Can't load custom codec. Using default codec". Maybe something has changed in the code.

same dude, now the app update to 1.90.4
Even if you use the current 1.90.4 version, the codec is not loaded due to the same symptom.
Same☹️
Same here not working
same
Same with android app v1.86.0 and android tv app v1.90.4
@USBhost The official website now has the new open-source code for FFmpeg version 1.90.1. Please assist with updating the releases. Thank you!
hi, not sure if it is truly relevant, but I wish to confirm here, I am on MX player pro (purchased from Google play), and recently this app is no longer available on Google play, but I can still get it from their homepage. The current version is shown as 1.86.0, whereas I tried neither release 1.87.0 and 1.49.0 could not work. I wonder if it is a pro version only problem?
Waiting for the next codec project if latest version not working.
Same =(
Same here. Today stopped working and I have white screen Sony Bravia (Android TV)

Thanks a lot. It does work on the lastest non-pro version(1.96.0)
Last 1.86.0 Pro version (Google Play) Tried selecting files:
- mx_aio.zip
- mx_neon64.zip shows the same error: Can't load custom codec. Using default codec
Last 1.86.0 Pro version (Google Play) Tried selecting files:
- mx_aio.zip
- mx_neon64.zip shows the same error: Can't load custom codec. Using default codec
