This appears to be a transcriptor problem.

This appears to be caused by plural-only Cree verbs having English definitions with the subject they, for which the corresponding verb-form is the suffixless infinitive, e.g. work in they work together. The current transcriptor presumes a 3rd person singular verb-form as the starting point for converting to the past tense form (i.e. works -> worked), as is consequently not able to apply the conversion work -> worked.
