How to change UTC offset so the site shows correct local time to me.

Open chanandler opened this issue 3 years ago • 2 comments

How do I go about changing the reported time zone, my results are all an hour out?

I'm guessing I just need to set the UTC offset value somewhere, just can't seem to find where. When this was recorded it was actually 18:00. I'm in the UK.

the UTC offset is reported by Dishy and is not used on the website really other then the display. Adding a local timezone view is planned.

i see you also don't have pings anymore, i currently try to resolve this problem, are you using my sh script? if so: Please delete the .sh file and download the current script ( in my tests this resolved the strange ping issues when using a cronjob)

Thanks for the explanation. And yes, pings stopped but I thought it was something I had done wrong. My son set up the first Raspberry PI I was using, but yesterday I ended up wiping it as for some reason I couldn't get VNC working on it. After much trial and error (I am not a Linux user, had no idea what I was doing) I figured it out but noticed the pings had disappeared.

I did use your sh script, but noticed if I downloaded the script the contents were different than if I opened it through the site. So ended up opening through the site and copied the contents into a new sh file on the PI.
