Hello, i´m a really noob in programing lenguange, and recentry i've change from windows to ubuntu because the big problem with windows 8.1 ended of support and all the problems with all the navegators based on chromium, so the big question is how install dependency control on ubuntu, on windows i´ve used the binaries compilated for you, but in this case i don´t have any idea. Regards, and i really hope you can help me.

Well, I'm really late to respond to this, but I think it would be the best to use wine to run emulated aegisub (use CoffeeFlux pre-built version - Although outdated but still working.) and just install your script from there. Or you could probably run it on arch Linux version since someone actually made a dependency to install on package installer pacman. It's look kinda bad but is still usable since mostly I just copy the line applied with the effect script from Dependency Control onto my Linux version. image

~~Or install the AppImage of this fork: https://github.com/arch1t3cht/Aegisub/releases~~

That doesn't ship DependencyControl either, though. It's only shipped on Windows.

(If you're wondering why, I believe this was originally done in TypesettingTools/Aegisub because DependencyControl prefers being installed in ?user and not ?data, and I haven't gotten around to looking into how important that condition is)

Oh, my bad, I thought this was the Aegisub repo.

For the ?user vs ?data discussion, I have created an issue at #12, summarizing my observations from back then. I haven't looked into it since.
