Call For Maintainers

Open Tyler-Keith-Thompson opened this issue 11 months ago • 3 comments

Unfortunately, I am not able to keep up with the project much anymore. I'm going to leave a call for maintainers up for a while, but if there aren't takers, I will likely archive the repository.

Hi @Tyler-Keith-Thompson, I'm interested. I'm ramping up on the codebase but I'm super impressed with this project and would really like to help.

That's fantastic news. Let me know what, if any, context I can provide. It's worth noting that Swift-Testing adds a whole new dimension to the project and the way it might interoperate with Xcode's test reporter. It's definitely this aspect (working with that test reporter) that incurs the most routine maintenance work for the project, and where I've fallen behind the most.

@Tyler-Keith-Thompson thanks a lot for the opportunity to help. I'm going through the issue backlog and will try to pickup some priority issues and send PRs. Swift-Testing looks amazing, and it will be really interesting to see how CucumberSwift can integrate with that. I'd love to see CucumberSwift become the official (or at least de facto) Swift implementation of Cucumber and I'm committed to helping make this happen. I really like BDD and after using CucumberSwift for a few months now, I'm really pleased with the overall experience. I definitely will have questions for you. I think the best thing for me to do right now is to fix a few bugs to get a better understanding of the codebase, and ask you for guidance as questions or doubts come up. I would also like to reach out to you offline so we can discuss further. Once again, great work with this project!
