How do you see the files once you save them somewhere?
Hello,
I saved a VOD to my desktop, but after it finished downloading, I couldn't see the file. I was able to access the file via the explorer window if I was to copy and paste it in like opening it with VLC media player, but for some reason, I was not able to see the file at the location that it was saved at.
Earlier I tried to download it to another directory and had the same issue.
Are these files visible in Windows Explorer somehow? Or are they just invisible and are going to take up space forever?
Just wanted to get my head around this.
Appreciate your help in advnace!
Thanks!
Any luck finding the file? I'm having the same issue.
@LukeWolfGames @Exoticgaming14 I'd recommend checking the segments of the vod and see if they all are available.
If segments are not available it's unlikely that it will ever download successfully.
Each m3u8 is made up of segments.. if segments are not available the vod will not be playable.

Excuse me for my ignorance, but how do you check if the segment is available? Also the program said that the download was completed and now I have 5 gigabytes less of storage and no file to show for it.

Nevermind. I found the files. Turns out the VOD did download in my temp folder albeit in the form of over 1,000 .ts files in increments of 6-9 seconds.
@LukeWolfGames @Exoticgaming14 given you have the m3u8 you can use the python script in my repository to check invalid/valid segments.

Oh, the temporary folder. I didn't think to check here. I was never able to find it, but I'll check temp files and see if I can find anything like this. @Exoticgaming14 Was this found in your C (or windows) drive temporary files?

It was found in my C drive in the temp folder. If you can't find it, just search put in a search for "twitch" in your C drive.
Thanks. I'll check this later and let you know. I tried saving one of these VODS to my external hard drive, unrelated to windows though, I'm not sure if it's put itself in there somewhere or if it's actually in my temp folder because it never completed or something.
