Automatically "load more"

I often see gaps in my timeline and there is a button "load more". This shouldn't happen as there are often more recent messages on top of that inline button. I am not always scrolling through the timeline and if you wait too long that button becomes broken and fails to receive more messages. I think the automatic refresh every x minutes should completely avoid that. If you run out of "storage" and can't store more tweets in the meantime, tell the user and allow it to increase the limit and not loose messages inbetween because you weren't there. You could also delete the oldest stuff that has already been read on the bottom of the timeline if a certain treshold is reached.

Is it a twidere limit or an api limit from twitter when the "load more" results in "couldn't fetch earlier tweets"? It is annoying if you follow many people and take a 8h nap break
