…ps. I ran into a site that was gzipping sitemap entries and they weren't being detected properly.
Thanks for this! Was there any other useful information in their headers? Or just the encoding?
I was reading jegs.com -- one main sitemap with a collection of gzipped sub-sutemaps. I didn't notice any other helpful headers. This is an old platform based on IBM Websphere (I work there), and I'm trying to audit the sitemap vs. what we're building on the back-end. Thanks tor the library -- extremely helpful. I found a lot of packages to build sitemaps, but not so many to read them.
