Clones+ | Duplicated sprites do not retain local variables

Open ScratchFakemon opened this issue 8 months ago • 7 comments

This is a weird issue to explain. Essentially, when you duplicate a sprite, the Clones+ extension still looks at the old local variables instead of the new ones.

The variable in the original sprite works fine. However, when the sprite is duplicated, the block instead displays the old variable's ID rather than the new variable's name. This doesn't happen when importing sprites or using the backpack--only when using the Duplicate Sprite button. Please watch the attached video for more information.

PS: This might be a duplicate. I skimmed through some existing Clones+ Issues and didn't find anything, but there could already be something that I don't know about.

this is an issue with how dynamic fields are made for variables, it's really shitty at best and leads to stupid issues like this
