hubic device not shown in filemanager when mounted

I have successfully installed hubicfuse on my Linux Mint 18 and works flawlessly as root. I also shows automatically on my Thunar filemanager when hubic is mounted (as root).

Then I proceed to:

  • create a .hubicfuse file in my /home/user with the correct credentials
  • mkdir /mtn/hubic with owner "user" (group: "user") and permission 644
  • create the fuse group and add "user" into it

hubicfuse now mounts the device properly, however it does not show automatically anymore in the DEVICE list of Thunar filemanager (I use xfce).

However, when I create the mount directory within /home/hubic, (owner/group = "user", same as /mnt/hubic) , the mounted directory shows properly in Thunar.

  • /dev/fuse is on "root"-"root"

Any idea why?

No I have no idea about this. Indeed my /mnt/hubic is never shown in my GNOME Files.
