I think that covering for all possible linters, version control systems and indentation preferences is fairly out of scope of TG. Maybe this should be a gearbox command? Something like gearbox gitignore/gearbox hgignore?

For coverage I'm ok with having a coverage config regarding the tests/package, but fail_under/min-percentage is surely something that TG shouldn't decide for the developer.

instead of gearbox gitignore/gearbox hgignore what about --enable-git and --enable-mercurial options in gearbox quickstart?
