When you download any twitter blog and it reach rate limit you see
Limit exceeded: username. It will automatically continue after the required wait period.But it never continues, it repeats the same message every n minutes without any further progress even after 3 hours. But if you restart the software after some time and try to download again then it starts immediately. -
If you get
Evaluated n posts urls out of n total posts.then it gets stuck and wont continue. -
The waiting until time you see under the username in the Queue window is never correct. It may say Waiting until 12:00 when your clock already is 12:05.
Desktop (please complete the following information):
- TumblThree version: 2.18.0
- OS: Windows 10 Home
No error messages in the log file other than Limit exceeded on repeat.
- I guess you've reached your daily limit. Technically, they don't show when you've reached it and when it's reset. You're just stuck in this "endless" loop. If you restart the app, it takes about three requests for the server to recognize and block you again.
- It would be interesting to see if there are any error messages in the log at this point. But you wrote that there are none.
- The wait block will be released at the time shown, but it may already be waiting for a rate limiter slot or be in an error case that's retrying several times, and no new output is yet shown. I guess the old message could be deleted instead of just waiting for a new one to overwrite it.
We'll fix a couple of things soon. The server's rate limit will, of course, remain in place.
