Hello, to be honest I don't see any bug yet. Do you mean the drop-down menu is completely missing, and not grayed out or only contains the default entry? Did you check your settings, if the collections are still there?

Thank you for your quick answer!

I'm checked these: In the settings everything in place I can add new collections no problem.

In the main UI there is still the switch in the bottom bar and can switch to the different collections.

In the right Details tab the "collection" option title is still there, but next to it the drop-down menu went missing can't modify any old and new added sites. /It is not grayed out it is missing/

For me it seems a unique problem. If you can't see any solution from your part. Could you help me how can I migrate just the sites index-s and downloaded data to a new clean install? What should I keep what should I delete (for example appdata roaming?? etc.)

++ I just found a few duplicated sites maybe could be connected to this problem. There was non or I did not caught it sooner.

I don't know what could be the issue with your installation, maybe related to the duplicate blog entries, maybe not.

Perhaps I would start by eliminating the duplicate blog entries. In the main download location as well as in each collection's download location there's the same structure. A folder with the blog name and two corresponding index files (e.g. blog.tumblr and blog_files.tumblr) in the Index folder.

Besides your download locations there's the Settings folder in %LOCALAPPDATA%\TumblThree\Settings. Nothing else you need to backup your installation.

Maybe you should keep your current settings, rename your download location's root folder and create a new folder on the old configured download location. That way you're not messing with the paths inside the index files. As all is on the same disk you can then move bunches of "blogs" (each blog's folder plus two index files) while TumblThree is closed to the new location. Sure, it requires some effort, but maybe you can narrow down the error. Let us know what was the problem.

So I have tried everything. Tried to keep only the downloaded data and indexes. Did not help , renamed every path.... nothing. Did a full clean "install" deleted settings. Tried to redownload everything from scratch. The original downloaded data were always OK and the redownloaded too but the collection function to choose went away even with everything from scratch... Tested just main drive .... same problem. My mind just hit the wall . It is fresh windows with updates. No idea...

I even made new collections and manually moved the blogs there with their indexes. But did not help. Of course if I need to modify the index files collection setting I don't know what to write there collection 1 or 2 or ... Collection name?

Would you be so kind and give me what should I modify manually to works as the program would do it?!

Thanks!!

The CollectionId inside the blog.tumblr

  "CollectionId": 456,

must match the respective Id from the Settings.json:

    {
      "DownloadLocation": "E:\\Collection 123",
      "Id": 456,
      "Name": "Collection 123",
      "OfflineDuplicateCheck": false
    },

Of course, when moving index files manually, the paths also have to be adjusted.

Thank you very much! I am going to test it out!

So I solved it.... ... Manually everything works but!

On my big screen even with fresh installs the right box on the screen/details and queue/ is narrowed and it happened to me that if it is too narrow it doesn't show the collection drop-down menu...... By chance I moved the right border and popped up.

So sorry for taking your time and thank you for your help and your super software/without irony/!

Maybe if you have time please modify the right bar that drop-down menu can't disappear.

With best regards! 👍
