General Shotgun buff
They're not bad, but they do underperform a bit, and conflict with melee, though they do have higher range than GBs.
However, the real issue at hand here is that they're over-reliant on Brace. Brace is stupid. At least with Guns and Brace, it's more of a niche alternative to get an extreme DPS boost, at the cost of slower walkspeed, recoil, and ammo consumption.
But with shotguns, the damage number is all that matters. Ammo consumption is not an issue on slow weapons, nor is the walk speed. Brace is an objective upgrade. I am effectively suggesting to transfer some of that damage-boosting aspect of Brace to the base Shotguns, I.E. a simple damage buff. They do kind of need more of a distance from the damage of the melee weapons, considering the numerous non-ammo consuming upsides they have, along with moreso establishing an overall greater damage output than snipers, considering Shotguns are inherently more risky.
I don't know what's happening to Brace, but to be honest, it's been a bit of a burden.
There's other ways to add more to Shotguns, like making it so the bullets can pierce 1 mob by default, but I'm not sure about that 1. I am aware of the difficulties of MC combat stuff by now, so while I would prefer fleshing them out over damage increasing, the simplest solution will also just work too
