Weird thing with brace and mainhand melee weapons

When you have a Brace gun, and hold a melee weapon, the melee weapon has slower attack speed. However, if you hold another gun (wait for unholster time to end), then hold a melee weapon, the melee weapon has its normal attack speed. This seems to persist even if you stop holding the melee weapon, only not persisting if you exit the world
