The git repository is very large
The git repository is very large (585.30 MiB of objects). This might be caused by the binaries which are currently being checked in.
It would be good to try to reduce the size of the git repository, but that might break existing forks and clones. However, I think it would be quite useful, especially to allow users without much bandwidth to contribute more easily. While it's probably to download the binary dependencies at build time, that might not be feasible. However, I feel that uploading the binaries to a separate repo, which people could clone with a depth of 1 as there would not be a need to browse the history of the binaries locally, would be a good idea.
@islathehut thoughts on this?
What kind of executables? I do not see any reasons for hosting the executables in this git repository.
