Multiple tickets about unable to sign up
I encountered multiple tickets in Zendesk of members unable to sign up to the platform. I checked the admin layer, they haven't signed up before. Ive asked for more info at these members, but maybe you have an idea?
One member says she's unable both in the app and when using a browser.
Could it be related to #2665 in a weird way?
@TMC89 Did they say anything about what goes wrong? Do they see an error? Or does the process get stuck somewhere?
@guaka you created a test account to check signup emails. Did you get the "verify your email" message?
@chmac: waiting for those details from them, since their initial report didn't have any details we can work with.
Did another test signup, works fine, got confirmation email.
Havent heard back from any of the members who reported this issue. Close and reopen when necessary.
I've now five tickets with gmail accounts that claim they can't make a profile..
@TMC89 Do they share any information about the issue they face? Without knowing what error they're getting, or what step in the process is failing, it's hard to investigate...
@chmac just now the first one: downloaded the app and couldn’t sign up. Is the connection between the app and the platform removed?
@TMC89 Hmm, I don't know enough about the app to know. But it's not "officially supported", whatever that means! I think if people have problems with the app we should encourage them to just use it in the browser on their phones. I don't think the app actually does anything the browser version doesn't, and it's much harder to test or debug.
