Manual save

Open VLEFF opened this issue 7 months ago • 3 comments

Hello, I think my home server SSD is dead, and I'm stuck with a readonly filesystem. This leads to server failing to autosave since yesterday 11AM. Obviously, I don't want to rollback to that point.

Is there a command to trigger the save from inside the docker container and define the folder in which it will save?

if you have a readonly filesystem then I'm not sure a manual save would even work

That's why I was asking to define the folder in which it will save. To be able to save it on another disk, USB stick or network. But sadly without answer, I've been forced to rollback.

@VLEFF First to answer your question. As far as i know there is no command, except on a local game, to save the game, even not in in the admin console (https://vrising.fandom.com/wiki/Console). As there is no command to make a manual save, there is also no way to make a save to another path. But this was also not really necessary and also not easily possible. If you still have access to the Filesystem, you could just access the files of the persistentdata volume and copy it to some other destination.
