Add sync adapter access

Fixes the issues found in #13

Created a new pull request because github doesn't allow pull requests to be updated unless the user has write access to that person's repository.

I think this can be merged. Could you please provide a small example that shows how to use this feature from a SyncAdapter? Something we could add to the readme?
