API: Daily statistics at the edge of the day

Describe the bug

When checking into connections at the beginning of a new day, it occures that the check-ins show up on the daily statistics of the day before.

Steps to reproduce

  1. Check into connection from today very early (00:00-02:00h)
  2. Request daily statistics for today --> don't see the check-in
  3. Request daily statistics for yesterday --> see the check-in
