Title of pages are generated with incorrect names for menu.main sections other than "Posts"

I do not want to place blame where in the code I hypothesis it went wrong b/c I'm not familiar with html and css.

However, populating the config.toml some menu items are not displayed correctly on pages after hugo builds the site.

What works: Menu Items rendered correctly on the front page and on the bottom title bar

What doesn't work: When trying to make a "Programming" and a "Self-Host" menu entry, ss are added to the words and - is converted to _ in pages. I tried to highlight them below in the images

Have the same problem: www.beck24.be -> blog or portfolio. Any idea why it keeps adding the "s"? Or where I can get rid of that?
