Do Not Disturb button doesn't work in MacOS Monterey?

After upgrading the MacOS Monterey, it seems as though they changed their "Do Not Disturb" functionality to be "Focus" mode. It seems as though hitting the DnD toggle doesn't actually engage focus mode, and notification continue to come in.
