Suggestion: Allow the conquering of an entire nation
This was a feature I believe was present in the SiegeConquest addon for sponsors prior to it officially being merged into SiegeWar. It allowed for an entire nation to be subjugated when a capital siege was successful, hereby giving a risk-and-reward feature and tactical strategy for capitals by mixing it with the cost modifier.
- From SW 2.0.0 - 3.0.0, occupation of a nation was not technically possible.
- Since SW 3.0.0, "partial occupation" of a nation has become possible, namely that all non-capital towns could get occupied, while the capital would remain unoccupied.
- SW 3.0.0 deliberately does not allow full nation occupation, due to a a critical difference between real geopolitics and virtual geopolitics, namely that a virtual-nation cannot defeat real-life players to anything close to the same extent that real-world-nation can defeat real-life-soldiers. Thus a full occupation system would likely result in an unnaturally high frequency of virtual rebellions, and thus less stable conquests and geopolitics. In contrast, the partial occupation system of SW3.0.0 gives players an "escape route", where their nation and at least 1 town in it, remains unoccupied, thus damping down their expected motivation to constantly rebel against a conqueror.
- Would the outlined "Partial-Occupation of-nation-after-Capital-Siege" feature meet your requirements ?
