Can you configure this template to require making moves for both sides?

I am trying to memorize chess games and would like to recall both black and white moves

I could... but it really wouldn't be my top priority if I am being honest. A simpler solution would be to use anki's card feature and add an extra card to the note type. So for any pgn it creates two cards one with flip = true and another with flip = false. this would allow you to memorize each color of a game. I think it's also good practice to break up more complicated cards anyway.

Firstly, I should have been clearer that I meant "can the card be configured." I of course didn't mean to pop up out of nowhere and demand a feature lol.

Second of all, I appreciate the suggestion and I'll take it under consideration. I'm still trying to figure out a good workflow to make Anki fit into chess, so it's helpful to have that as a possibility.

yeah all good. I figured you were just making a feature request which is really no problem. I have some things planned for this template is all so unless it's a feature I will also use, it won't be an immediate priority. You certainly aren't the only one who wants to remember games so it makes sense to support it. I don't personally remember games, but if I was to I would use the double sided card approach that I described above. But I have no issue with adding features and have implemented quite a few suggestions already, such as the addition of sound when moving the pieces.

With that said, let me know how you go with your workflow and if you try the double sided card approach. For now I will reopen this issue.
