Missing HTTP Endpoint Plugin in Community Edition – Configuration Help Needed
Hi team,
I've installed the Nussknacker Community Edition on my system. While exploring the demo setup, I noticed there's an HTTP Endpoint source plugin available. However, in my setup, I only see Kafka and Periodic source plugins listed.
Could you please confirm if the HTTP Endpoint (and similar plugins) are only available in the Enterprise Edition? Or is there any additional configuration needed to enable them in the Community Edition?
Thanks in advance!
Hi Joice1910
In the Cloud platform, you can communicate with a scenario using an HTTP interface through one of two components:
HTTP endpoint source (asynchronous) - available in "streaming" processing mode, where you can use all features of the Apache Flink engine that runs under the hood Request source (synchronous) - available in "request-response" processing mode, where some features such as time-window aggregations/joins are not available (https://nussknacker.io/documentation/docs/about/ProcessingModes/) The first approach is not available in the community edition; the second one is available.
We suggest you use the cloud free tier before diving into Nussknacker + Apache Flink installation and configuration, or schedule a short meeting with us so we can help you understand the what, where, and when of using Nussknacker.
Kind regards Kuba
Hi Kuba,
Thank you for your suggestion. I would be happy to schedule a call to discuss the usage of Nussknacker in more detail. Please let me know your available time slots so we can arrange it accordingly.
Regards, Joice
Hi Joice1910,
I am sorry for the delay with response - Kuba has asked to me take over this thread. I think the easiest way to set up the meeting would be via this link; you will be able to choose time that suits you most. Please let me know if this does not work for you.
Kind regards Zbyszek
